LanceSoft Middle East is seeking an Operational Planning Specialist Engineer in Kuwait for a 12-month assignment. The role centers on developing short- and medium-term operational plans to ensure reliable electricity supply, system security, and economical generation dispatch.

You will coordinate generation availability, outages, load forecasting, and GCC interconnection requirements to maintain efficient power system operations across multiple sites and stakeholders.

Formación

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Substantial experience in transmission system operational planning.
• Strong knowledge of power system operations, generation dispatch, and system security.
• Experience in load forecasting and outage planning.
• Knowledge of GCC Interconnection Grid operations is highly relevant.

Responsabilidades

• Develop secure and economical operating plans across power plants and generating units.
• Forecast short- and medium-term electricity demand and assess generation capacity requirements.
• Evaluate scheduled outages and identify potential system impacts with mitigation options.
• Coordinate energy-availability requirements to support maintenance planning.
• Analyze network loading conditions and propose short- and medium-term operational solutions.
• Review load-shedding schedules per network developments and GCC interconnection requirements.
• Assess substation busbar strategies and future expansion from an operational security perspective.
• Conduct studies related to the GCC Interconnection Grid.
• Analyze interconnection faults and prepare technical reports on impacts to operations.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and management to communicate risks and corrective actions.
