Job summary

LanceSoft Middle East in Kuwait City seeks an experienced power-system engineer for a 12-month role to lead planning and studies across 400/275/132/33/11 kV networks. You will run seasonal studies, perform expansion and connection studies, and prepare reports for the client. Degree in Electrical Engineering required; postgraduate or registration advantageous.

Qualifications

Extensive power-system planning and studies experience.
Strong knowledge of transmission and sub-transmission networks.
Proficiency with recognised power-system modelling software.

Responsibilities

Lead seasonal system studies for summer peak, winter minimum and critical loading conditions.
Perform network development, expansion and capacity-enhancement studies and identify constraints and reinforcements.
Undertake connection studies for new substations and major load-supply requirements, including large projects.
Perform short-circuit calculations for existing and proposed substations.
Assess renewable and alternative-energy connections and hosting capabilities.
Contribute to the Electrical Network Master Plan and review technical studies and reports.
Prepare robust study reports, assumptions, findings and recommendations for client review.
