Job summary

Core for Infrastructure Works Co. W.L.L by Al Nisf Group in Kuwait City is seeking a Procurement Engineer to oversee procurement activities for telecom, instrumentation, and control systems on site.

You will prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, track orders, and coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering Procurement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience handling Telecom, Instrumentation, or Control packages.
• Proven experience in procurement of industrial instruments, automation systems, or telecom packages.
• Strong experience in quotation evaluation, commercial comparison, and supplier expediting.
• Ability to read and understand technical datasheets and system architectures.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP skills.
• Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Strong English communication and supplier coordination skills.
• Experience purchasing specialist equipment and expediting project deliveries is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for instruments, analyzers, control panels, automation systems, and telecom/network equipment.
• Prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers.
• Obtain supplier clarifications and compile commercial comparisons against approved technical requirements.
• Coordinate technical evaluations with Engineering teams.
• Support commercial negotiations and purchase orders under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager.
• Review supplier quotations, technical documents, and compliance with project requirements.
• Expedite supplier documentation, manufacturing, inspections, shipping, and deliveries.
• Monitor procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier communications, and tracking reports.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve procurement issues.
