Job summary

Alghanim Industries in Kuwait is seeking a Merchandiser to work closely with the Assistant Buyer to ensure the products purchased meet the sales plan. You will analyse past sales figures, coordinate promotions, and communicate with store teams.

The role requires strong communication in Arabic and English, solid computer literacy, and a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in retail is preferred but not required, with 0–3 years considered suitable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0–3 years’ experience in retail or related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills essential.

• Good commercial awareness and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse past sales figures to identify trends and forecast needs.
• Relay merchandising plans to buyers and assistants and assist with purchasing decisions.
• Determine call schedules, promotions, and price changes with the buyer.
• Maintain relationships with store managers and staff, answering questions and handling requests.
• Keep shelves tidy, display products attractively, and manage inventory levels.
• Submit call reports on competitor displays, pricing, and promotions.
• Monitor local promotions and report customer reactions to management.
• Provide management with updates on store openings/closures and territory growth.
• Adhere to standards to ensure quality results and continuous learning.
