Job summary

Job description

Master HVAC Technician – TS SCI – CACI

Engineering and Technical Support – Full time

Responsibilities
  • Inspect HVAC systems and components (heating units, exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition.
  • Identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance.
  • Clean, lubricate, and repack working parts of HVAC systems.
  • Track performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of HVAC systems.
  • Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections, producing reports in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve issues.
  • Diagnose causes of failures in HVAC systems to identify repair or replacement needs.
  • Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning, AC, and cooling systems.
  • Perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pumps, motors, air dryers, and related HVAC equipment.
  • Install, modify, overhaul, repair, and maintain complex HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and auxiliary/control equipment.
  • Work with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs.
  • Review plans, specifications, or drawings to determine the size, shape, and location of equipment.
  • Perform design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge for unique security requirements, including sound baffling, equipment, and resolution of compromising electrical currents.
  • Produce classified technical documentation outlining technical findings and recommendations.
  • Provide design emergency fault isolation for smoke removal systems and fire detection/suppression equipment used in critical military installations.
  • Perform diagnostics, scheduling, and maintenance of electronic environmental systems; calibrate and lubricate unique components.
  • Deploy worldwide to mobile facility environments and provide expert technical assistance for 24‑hour operations with limited documentation resources.
  • Respond to off‑day, evening, and weekend calls to support critical system outages and rapid fault isolation concerning ISR system performance.
  • Support US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed and be available to deploy to other countries or theaters for quick‑reaction technical support to US forces worldwide.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 10 years combined education and experience, including a valid Master HVAC license (state level) or 12 years of military HVAC training/certification.
  • 4 years of experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components.
  • Expert level experience in design, installation, and sustainment of computer‑controlled environmental systems in mobile secure facilities.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals or schematics.
  • North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification.
  • US citizenship; active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Ability to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay Range

$51,800 – $106,200 annually.
