Job summary

TÜV SÜD Kuwait is seeking a highly skilled inspection professional to lead the third‑party inspection and certification of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in lifting equipment inspection, LEEA certifications, and onshore/offshore experience. GCC familiarity and a valid driving license are preferred to support diverse field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma degree in mechanical inspection, mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of lifting equipment inspection experience.
• Minimum of three LEEA Certifications required.
• Strong expertise in cranes, lifting gear, and inspection standards.
• Onshore and offshore inspection experience required.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Valid driving license required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform third-party inspection and testing of lifting equipment (mobile cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, earthmoving machinery).
• Issue certifications and documentation in line with British and international standards.
• Maintain knowledge of lifting equipment regulations and relevant inspection standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to standards during inspections.
• Supervise inspection engineers and review their reports and certificates.
• Maintain technical documents and reports for local accreditation audits.

Your Tasks

• Responsible for the third-party inspection and testing of various lifting equipment, such as: mobile cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, earthmoving machinery, and various types of loose lifting tackles used in lifting operations.
• Issue certifications and documentation in accordance with relevant British and international standards.
• Maintain operational knowledge of lifting equipment regulations and all relevant standards related to the inspection and certification of lifting equipment.
• Ensure strict compliance with applicable standards during the inspection of equipment.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to inspection engineers, and review and verify their inspection reports and certificates.
• Maintain technical documents and reports required for local accreditation audits.
