Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Lead Construction Engineer - Piping for a 5-year PMC contract with Kuwait Oil Company in Kuwait. The role focuses on executing piping construction activities, ensuring design integrity, safety, and cost control on major oilfield projects.

You will lead a team of construction engineers, coordinate with design and project controls, prepare man-hour estimates, supervise field execution, and drive productivity while maintaining quality standards and compliant with OH&S procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering.
• 15+ years total post‑graduation experience.
• 10+ years post‑graduation experience in oil and gas construction.
• 5+ years in a lead/senior construction role.

Responsibilities

• Promote and drive the involvement of Construction in areas of design, schedule, prelim execution planning, and cost estimating.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of workload of Construction’s providers/contractors.
• Supervise all construction and completions personnel.
• Overall supervision of construction engineers.
• Forecast requirements for construction engineering resources and allocate them.
• Prepare man-hour estimates to perform project tasks.
• Promote cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Provide technical supervision to designated construction engineers.
• Prepare weekly progress and expenditure reports on a project basis.
• Quality Assurance – work within QA system guidelines.
• Safety – follow OH&S procedures.
