Job summary

Linked4HR Human Resources Consultancies LLC seeks a Mechanical Superintendent for our client in Kuwait to lead mechanical maintenance on deep drilling rigs and drive reliability. You will oversee programs, troubleshoot drawworks, top drives, mud pumps, engines, generators, hydraulics and compressors, and manage maintenance teams. The role requires 15+ years of oil and gas drilling experience and a mechanical engineering background; international contractor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas drilling.
• Strong deep drilling land rig experience.
• Experience as Mechanical Superintendent / Senior Mechanical Maintenance professional.
• Hands-on knowledge of drilling rig mechanical systems.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance and repair activities on deep drilling rigs.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain rig equipment including drawworks, top drives, mud pumps, engines, generators, hydraulics, and compressors.
• Manage mechanical maintenance teams and manpower.
• Plan major repairs, overhauls, and shutdown activities.
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.
