Job summary

ADES Global is seeking an experienced Driller to supervise the drilling crew and lead all drilling operations on site in Kuwait. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to the operator’s program, and optimal use of machinery, equipment and personnel.

The Driller will diagnose down-hole issues, report to client reps, and coordinate with well planners and engineers to optimize drilling performance. Onshore rig experience and well control certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level: High School or Vocational/Technical.
• At least 5 years of working experience in land drilling and workover operations.
• At least 3 years of working experience as Assistant Driller.
• Intermediate level in English (written & spoken).
• Advanced mathematical skills and drilling practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling controls and monitor parameters to ensure safe, efficient drilling.
• Supervise crew, direct tasks, and monitor performance for smooth operations.
• Report progress, incidents, and deviations to Senior Tool Pusher and client reps.
• Maintain drilling and safety records, logs, and instrument readings.
• Ensure 3rd party crews follow safe work methods and procedures.
• Collaborate with well planners and engineers to develop drilling plans.
• Instruct on BOP installation, pressure testing, and equipment readiness.
• Monitor mud activities and maintain proper mud volume and properties.
• Perform weekly equipment checks and maintenance planning.
