Job summary

Millennium Hotel & Convention Centre Kuwait is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas. You will assist in washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes and kitchen tools, and help coordinate cleaning of silverware, glassware, and chinware.

Responsibilities include inventory maintenance, waste removal, food prep support, and adherence to hygiene, safety, and storage standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Assist in washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
• Coordinate cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
• Ensure timely removal of garbage and waste from kitchen areas.
• Support culinary team in food prep and setup for meals.
• Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in maintaining safety and cleanliness in food storage areas.
• Collaborate with stewarding supervisors and managers to complete tasks efficiently.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning kitchen equipment to supervisor.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of kitchen and dining areas for service.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard health and safety of guests and colleagues, and contribute to environmental conservation.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
