Job summary

Candidate Experience site is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hood & Duct Cleaning Technician to join the Service department in Kuwait. The role demands 3–5 years in the field, strong safety focus, and the ability to work with kitchen teams to clean hoods, ducts and exhaust systems to NFPA 96 standards.

You will operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, rotary brushes and vacuum units, capture before/after records, and coordinate with client staff to minimize disruption during off-hours.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in the same field
• Good communication with client and team; basic Arabic required
• Valid Kuwait transferrable visa and Kuwait driving license
• Able to join immediately and work flexible hours
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Attention to safety (electrical and refrigerant handling)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Knowledge of grease extraction systems, exhaust fans, filters, fire suppression interface, and ductwork cleaning methods
• Ability to work at heights, in ducts, and hot, greasy environments; lift up to 25 kg
• NFPA 96 awareness or certification preferred; OSHA or equivalent safety training preferred
• Operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, rotary brushes, vacuum units, and chemical degreasers safely
• Professional demeanor when communicating with restaurant/clients
• Troubleshoot on-site cleaning or access challenges
• Understand grease fire hazards and prevention methods

Responsibilities

• Perform full cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, ductwork, exhaust fans, and filters per NFPA 96 standards
• Remove grease buildup from all accessible duct surfaces using mechanical and chemical methods
• Set up and operate cleaning equipment (pressure washers, steam cleaners, rotary brushes, vacuum systems)
• Take before/after photos and maintain detailed service reports for client and compliance records
• Inspect hood systems for damage, corrosion, or fire safety concerns
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to schedule cleaning during off-hours (nights/weekends)
• Follow strict safety protocols for chemical handling, hot work, and working at heights
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper chemical dilution and disposal per local regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
