Job summary

Apparel Group in Kuwait is seeking a Kitchen Attendant responsible for basic preparation in a given section under the supervision of the senior cook. You will assist with mise-en-place, collect items from stores, and ensure hygiene standards are followed to maintain quality.

You will participate in training, keep records of new recipes and procedures, maintain equipment cleanliness, and monitor waste to control costs while adhering to restaurant policies on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates with the senior cook to produce food in his section.
• Assist the senior cook in performing duties efficiently.
• Collect required food items from the stores and the butchery.
• Prepare mise-en-place according to direction given by the section head.
• Follow the rules and regulations of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Attend training classes and keep records of new recipes and cooking procedures.
• Maintain equipment in good, clean conditions and ensure repairs and maintenance are regularly carried out.
• Maintain food cost within the budget by controlling waste without compromising standards.
• Be aware of Restaurant policies relating to health, hygiene, and fire life safety and ensure your direct reports do the same.
• Familiarize with emergency exits and evacuation procedures.
