Job summary

Acciona-Sogex is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client for an experienced Head of Business Development & Research based in Muscat, Oman. The role oversees investment research, portfolio performance, and growth initiatives within a dynamic investment environment.

The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop strategic plans, and present investment recommendations to senior leadership. Excellent communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Admin, Economics or Investment Management (MBA a plus).
Minimum 15 years' experience in investment management or related fields.
Proven leadership in BD, investment research and portfolio management.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and portfolio analysis skills.
Excellent English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the Business Development & Research function and provide strategic direction.
Oversee investment research, financial modelling, and equity valuation activities.
Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Identify business growth opportunities and support investment decision-making.
Conduct financial, commercial, and market analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Develop executive reports, presentations, and investment recommendations.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment and research professionals.
