Zusammenfassung

Kimpton Kuwait is seeking a professional hostess to greet guests at the restaurant entrance, ensure seating, and maintain restaurant readiness before service. You will manage reservations, assist with seating, coordinate with wait staff, and uphold grooming and health and safety standards.

Experience in hospitality and a polished appearance are required. Training will cover menu knowledge, handling guest requests, and reporting incidents to supervisors to maintain exceptional guest experiences.

Aufgaben

• Meet and greet all guests at the restaurant front and ensure front-of-house readiness.
• Prepare the restaurant for opening and ensure wait staff and tables are ready.
• Ensure restaurant operating equipment is clean and in working order.
• Maintain impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards.
• Welcome guests to the Restaurant by using the restaurant name.
• Inquire if they have a reservation and note it in the reservation book.
• Create a reservation for them with their dining preferences if they do not and note it in the reservation book.
• Be attentive to guest requests.
• Escort guests to their table or reserved table and seat guests according to restaurant standards.
• Take telephone bookings and document in the Reservation book.
• Train wait staff and bus staff in hostess standards.
• Be attentive to guests and resolve complaints where possible, reporting incidents to supervisor.
• Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of hostess stations.
• Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of all menus and drink menus.
• Assist with beverage service.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of menu, including daily specials.
• Ensure tables are cleared quietly and efficiently.
• Carry food and beverage trays in a safe manner to minimize breakages.
• Complete dockets accurately and clearly.
• Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel.
• Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook
• Comply with Company Grooming Standards
• Comply with Time and Attendance Policies
• Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development
• Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
• Being attentive to Guests
• Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
• Anticipate Guests needs
• Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
• Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
• Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
• Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
• Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
• Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
