Job summary

Americana Restaurants in Kuwait City is seeking a Quality & Food Safety Supervisor to oversee hygiene procedures, QA system implementation, and ISO 22000 compliance across the commissary. The role focuses on ensuring products are produced to the highest safety standards and that records are maintained accurately.

Qualifications

• University degree in Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, Food Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the field.
• Comprehensive knowledge in laboratory testing, food safety and hygiene.
• Certified Advanced Food Safety Program.
• Can effectively manage subordinates and determine training and development needs.
• Systematic and can work under pressure.
• Notable analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Language Skills: Fluent Arabic and English (Oral/Written).
• Initiative – self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of internal hygiene procedures and quality assurance system.
• Receives raw materials according to the agreed quality standards and food safety standards.
• Ensure that all products are produced and handled in a manner that will maintain their wholesomeness.
• Responsible for daily quality inspections for all the products that are manufactured in the commissary center according to the operation standards and quality specifications.
• Implementing and maintaining the ISO 22000 food safety management system related programs that are applied in the commissary.
• Conducts laboratory microbiological analysis to assess the products and identify mistakes in production and quality deviations on products produced in the Commissary.
• Testing of food contact surfaces in the commissary to monitor the effectiveness of the cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure the implementation of high standards of personal hygiene among the commissary supervisors and team members.
• Ensure that all the food handlers in the commissary have valid occupational health cards.
• Oversee the implementation of the cleaning and sanitation procedures in the commissary as per the agreed master sanitation program and the sanitation standard operation procedures.
• Ensure proper corrective actions are implemented against any deviation from the agreed standards.
• Conducts food safety, quality awareness, GMPs, allergen control, EPTP trainings for supervisors and team members as per annual training plan.
• On site verification of the daily records relating to the food safety& quality management system, and Yum quality standard.
