Overview

We are currently looking for a Fitter to join our team in Hawalli. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and repair of machines and equipment according to safety guidelines. This position requires someone with excellent problem solving and communication skills, as well as an understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machinery is operated safely and in accordance with safety regulations
• Carry out maintenance, installation, and repair work on machines and equipment
• Diagnose faults in machinery and equipment
• Ensure that all parts are correctly installed, aligned, balanced and adjusted
• Follow blueprints or other diagrams to complete repair tasks
• Troubleshoot problems with machines or equipment
• Use hand tools and power tools to remove defective parts, repair or replace them
• Test repaired machinery for proper performance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role
• Working knowledge of mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, etc.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and blueprints
• Good understanding of engineering principles
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Great verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience

Preferably Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum two years of experience working as a Fitter. We are also willing to consider foreign candidates with relevant experience.
