Job summary

AMICO is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Kuwait to design, develop, and evaluate biological and health systems. You will collaborate with a Dermatology team to enhance medical devices and processes and provide hands-on service for laser systems.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, a biomedical engineering background, and the ability to work independently and within a team to install, upgrade, and maintain complex dermatology laser equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards.
• Hands-on expertise with Photomedex Excimer Laser systems
• Proficiency in using biomedical instrumentation and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Hands-on expertise with Photomedex Excimer Laser systems used for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis.
• Servicing and maintaining dermatology laser systems, particularly Cynosure and Lutronic devices.
• Inspect the received machines (upon-arrival inspection) and/or the goods to be delivered (Pre-delivery inspection).
• Install and run the machines.
• Apply equipment upgrades and preventive maintenance measures as scheduled with the customer.
• Perform in-service demonstrations and show machine operation to users.
• Repair out-of-control equipment and manage parts pricing and labor charges.
• Decide on stocking frequently needed spare parts.
• Sell and execute service contracts with customers.
• Generate and communicate sales leads to the sales team and report on customer technical problems.

Job Purpose - Field Service Engineer, will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating biological and health systems and products. He/She will collaborate with a Dermatology team to improve medical devices, equipment, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on expertise with Photomedex Excimer Laser systems used for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis
• Proven experience in servicing and maintaining dermatology laser systems, particularly Cynosure and Lutronic devices.
• Inspect the received machines (upon-arrival inspection) and/or the goods to be delivered (Pre-delivery inspection)
• Install and run the machines.
• Apply the equipment upgrades.
• Perform the in-service (present the machine operational parts to the user).
• Apply the Manufacturer s preventive maintenance measures according to preset schedules agreed on with the Customer.
• Repair the out-of-control equipment, and collect the Labour charge and the price of the used spare parts.
• Decide on stocking the frequently needed spare parts.
• Sell and execute the service contracts.
• Generate and communicate sales leads to the sales team and report on Customers technical problems experienced with competitors.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.

• Proficiency in using biomedical instrumentation and equipment..
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
