Job summary

Kuwait Packing Materials Manufacturing Company KSC is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to maintain and repair complex electrical and electronic equipment across production lines. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, read electrical diagrams, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires experience with motors, VFDs, relays, sensors, and control circuits, plus ability to work from schematics and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of motors, VFDs, relays and control circuits.
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• 2–5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair motors, VFDs, relays, sensors, and transformers.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues using voltmeters and diagnostic tools.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
• Diagnose complex faults and perform necessary repairs to continue production.
• Install and maintain industrial controls, instrumentation, and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with controls-related diagnostics.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support installation, debugging, and startup of new or modified equipment.
• Document repairs and maintenance history in CMMS.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout policies and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production/maintenance teams on reliability improvements.

Job description

Maintain troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimize production downtime

Key Responsibilities

• Install maintain and repair complex electrical and electronic equipment including motors VFDs relays sensors contactors transformers and control circuits
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues using volt meters test equipment and diagnostic tools
• Read interpret and troubleshoot from electrical schematics wiring diagrams ladder logic and technical documentation
• Diagnose complex electrical troubles and breakdowns perform necessary repairs to continue production
• Install and maintain industrial controls instrumentation and control wiring
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with controls-related diagnostics
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Support installation debugging and startup of new or modified production equipment
• Document repairs work orders and maintenance history using CMMS systems
• Follow all Lockout Tagout LOTO policies and safety procedures
• Coordinate with production engineering and maintenance teams on equipment reliability and improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley Beckhoff or B amp R PLC platforms
• Familiarity with VFDs servo control systems and industrial automation
• Knowledge of NEC NFPA 70 or OSHA regulations
• Experience in plastics packaging or paper manufacturing environments
• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills using diagnostic equipment
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and controls troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Experience with industrial power distribution (480VAC and below)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls
