Job summary

IMCO Engineering & Construction Co. is seeking an Engineer - Specialist to support the Drone Inspection Program. You will participate in UAV-enabled inspections of electrical transmission assets, operate sensors, and prepare structured inspection reports, contributing to QA/QC and field data collection.

The role offers growth across UAV operations, GIS, and analytics, with emphasis on safety and international standards, in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with power systems knowledge.
• 0–2 years for junior or 3–5 years for mid-level in field engineering or inspections.
• Strong English written and oral communication for technical reports.
• Ability to perform fieldwork in outdoor environments and high voltage areas.
• Safety-first mindset and familiarity with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UAV-enabled inspections of electrical transmission assets with advanced sensors.
• Serve as Visual Observer (VO) ensuring safe flights and line-of-sight with the drone.
• Assist with sensor calibration, payload configuration, and real-time data collection.
• Use software to analyze inspection data and prepare QA/QC aligned reports.
• Contribute to refining inspection protocols and software/tools.
• Collaborate on developing custom inspection management tools.
• Support GIS-based data visualization and asset mapping.
• Adhere to safety protocols in outdoor/high-voltage environments.
• Travel to sites as required to execute projects.
