Advanced Construction Technology Services is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join our Oil & Gas project team in Kuwait City. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by certifications like AWS CWI and significant experience in welding inspection.

You will be responsible for conducting inspections, monitoring welding operations, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Applicants should possess strong communication and reporting skills, crucial for documenting inspection results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and industry codes (ASME Section IX, API 1104).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and verify weld dimensions against project specifications.
• Conduct NDT such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing for pipelines.
• Monitor welding operations for compliance with standards.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Welding Inspector to join our Oil & Gas project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and verify weld dimensions against project specifications.
• Conduct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing for pipelines and structural components.
• Review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), P & I D drawings, and applicable codes (AWS, ASME, API 1104).
• Monitor welding operations on pipelines, pressure vessels, and offshore structures for compliance.
• Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for QA/QC records.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, Health, Safety and Environment standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications: AWS CWI, CSWIP 3, 1, 3, 2, or equivalent; NDT Level II certifications (UT, MT, PT) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and industry codes (ASME Section IX, API 1104).
