Job summary

Kwtsteel in Kuwait is seeking a skilled Control Room Operator for the Ferro Silicon Plant to monitor the Submerged Arc Furnace and related systems from the control room, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient production. You will operate the plant via PLC, monitor critical parameters, and support commissioning and production with strict adherence to HSE procedures.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in ferroalloy or heavy industrial operations preferred.
• Knowledge of SAF/arc furnace operations and control room duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control SAF and plant systems through PLC to maintain safe, stable operation.
• Coordinate with Shift In-Charge, furnace operators, and maintenance during production.
• Maintain logs, shift reports, process data, and alarm history; support troubleshooting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for process stability and product quality.
