Job summary

Anton is seeking an experienced Consultant – Process Simulation & Facility Optimization in Kuwait to develop and validate hydraulic and process models for upstream facilities. You will assess capacity, identify bottlenecks, and lead optimization programs to improve production reliability and performance.

The role requires 15+ years in Oil & Gas with strong simulation expertise, knowledge of safety practices (HAZOP), and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Process Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas experience in upstream facilities and process simulation.
• Experience with process and hydraulic simulation software.
• Knowledge of HAZOP, risk assessment, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and validate process and hydraulic simulation models for upstream facilities.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and validate process and hydraulic simulation models for upstream production facilities.
2. Assess oil, gas, and water-handling capacity against production forecasts and operating requirements.
3. Identify facility bottlenecks, operational constraints, debottlenecking opportunities, and upgrade requirements.
4. Lead process optimization, debottlenecking, and facility performance improvement studies.
5. Evaluate water injection, water disposal, and production network performance.
6. Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex process and facility performance issues.
7. Review project design bases, Statements of Requirements (SOR), FEED deliverables, and performance-testing results.
8. Validate simulation results against actual field performance and operating data.
9. Develop and maintain technical simulation models, facility-capacity databases, and supporting engineering data.
10. Provide technical input to process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment, and facility modification activities.
11. Mentor engineers in process simulation, hydraulic analysis, optimization, and technical modeling techniques.
12. Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to improve facility capacity, reliability, and production performance.

Qualification Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Master’s degree in Process Engineering or a related field is preferred.
3. Minimum 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience, with strong experience in upstream production facilities, process simulation, and brownfield optimization.
4. Strong expertise in process and hydraulic simulation, facility-capacity assessment, and bottleneck analysis.
5. Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and water-handling systems, production networks, and facility optimization.
6. Proficiency in recognized process and hydraulic simulation software.
7. Strong knowledge of process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment, and applicable international engineering standards.
8. Chartered Engineer and/or Certified HAZOP Leader qualification is preferred.
9. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical-reporting skills.
10. Proven ability to develop and validate technical models using actual field and operational data.
11. Experience developing technical databases and engineering performance models.
12. Strong communication, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-transfer skills.
13. Upstream Oil & Gas operating-company experience is preferred.
