Job summary

Wedelhütte is seeking a hands-on Caretaker / Technician to keep a mountain lodge running. You’ll perform maintenance, assist in hotel and restaurant tasks, drive snowmobiles and snow groomers, and help with logistics and waste disposal on site.

Ideal candidates have technical and manual skills, a Class B driving licence, and a willingness to work in extreme weather. A team-oriented, responsible, and weatherproof mindset helps you thrive in this alpine setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and manual/technical work in the hotel and restaurant.
• Flexible support across various areas including service.
• Driving snowmobiles and snow groomers for transportation of guests, staff and deliveries.
• Logistics and waste disposal (e.g., cardboard baler).
• Snow removal with snow blower and shovel.
• Maintenance/repairs of winter equipment, heating, ventilation, sanitary systems, elevators, locking and alarm systems when qualified.

Your profile

• Professional experience: Ideally, experience in the restaurant or hotel industry.
• Technical proficiency: Technical and manual skills as well as physical fitness.
• Hands-on mentality: An independent and responsible way of working.
• Driving licence: Class B driver's license.
• Teamwork: A sense of responsibility and a team-player attitude.
• You are „weatherproof“: Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Commute: For winter sports fans, the commute can be done by ski or snowboard – including first and last line on the empty slopes.

Your responsibilities

• Maintenance work: Assisting with manual and technical work in the hotel and restaurant.
• Flexible support: In various areas, including service.
• Driving snowmobiles & snow groomers: For transporting guest luggage, employees, and deliveries.
• Logistics and waste disposal (e.g. cardboard baler, etc.).
• Snow removal (with snow blower and snow shovel).
• Depending on qualifications: Maintenance / repairs of winter equipment, heating, ventilation and sanitary systems, elevators, locking and alarm systems.

We offer full-time employment with 6-day week (48 hrs.) incl. attractive Gross wage from € 3,000.– (pay above the Hotel & Gastronomy collective agreement, with the option of additional adjustment depending on qualifications).
