Job summary

Boeing Corporation is seeking an experienced Lead Coordinator for C-17 Globemaster III maintenance at the Kuwait airbase to oversee organizational level maintenance activities and flight line operations in support of KAF mission requirements.

You will direct a team of multi-level mechanics and technicians, coordinate maintenance planning with logistics, ensure timely releases, and maintain records while fostering a responsive, safety-focused maintenance culture suitable for a dynamic field

Qualifications

• 10+ years of C-17 maintenance experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a US security clearance.
• Knowledge of maintenance information systems such as G081.

Responsibilities

• Oversee organizational maintenance on C-17 aircraft on a fast-paced flight line.
• Direct, train and mentor technicians in launch, recovery and servicing tasks.
• Coordinate with Logistics/Data Management and KAF flight crews.
• Develop maintenance plans, prioritize scheduling and ensure parts availability.
• Ensure airworthiness and timely aircraft releases.

Job description

Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities e g flight line tasks including aircraft servicing inspections fault diagnosis and component replacement and structural repair associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements As Lead Coordinator you will oversee multiple final scheduled maintenance visit plans and manage a major plan Leads maintenance debrief and records review Defines project schedule approves definition manages resource requirements and parts availability with supply-chain Tracks quality metrics and initiates corrective action

Position Responsibilities

English is the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase in Kuwait All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English Competency in reading comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary Serves as the Contractor Logistics Support CLS shift leader and is responsible for coordination of all aircraft organizational maintenance activities in a fast-paced dynamic flight line environment and during recurring Home Station Checks Directs trains and mentors a group of multi-level mechanics technicians in the execution of daily aircraft launch recovery pre post-flight maintenance activities and servicing tasks Maintains a continuous communication link between touch labor Field Operations management Boeing support functions and KAF flight crews Works with Logistics Data Management function to develop maintenance plans including prioritizing scheduling and reporting of aircraft maintenance status and accomplishment unscheduled maintenance activities Understands the critical relationship between the flying schedule and airworthiness requirements availability of parts when allocating manpower resources Utilizes sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate acceptable quality standards before authorizing exceptional release of the aircraft Liaisons with internal external customers as the subject matter expert for KAF aircraft condition and operational capability Utilizes knowledge experience to evaluate issues perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans that enhance the overall mission capable rate Participates with organizational leaders in the development and implementation of plans and objectives e g long-range strategies organizational goals objectives and initiatives Manages develops and updates CLS processes procedures Tracks quality metrics and reports on the health of the organization Works independently with very little direction and must be resilient to a fluid environment with changing customer requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

10+ years of C17 Maintenance experience

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience managing C-17 flight line operational maintenance activities in an Air Force environment highly desired.

Experience supporting Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in a multi-national environment preferred.

Knowledge of import/export regulations is required.

Extensive knowledge of Air Force procedures, processes, technical orders, and maintenance information systems (e.g. G081) is a must.

Wide-ranging and specialized knowledge of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and subsystems, including its associated technical network, is required.
