Job summary

Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait is seeking a C-17 Field Services Customer Engineer to be based at Al-Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait. You will join the on-site FETS team, delivering real-time technical support, troubleshooting guidance, and training to the Kuwait Air Force while coordinating with Boeing and local customers.

Travel to other C-17 sites may be required. A BS in engineering or related field and C-17 experience are required, with relocation supported.

C-17 Field Services Customer Engineer**Company:**Boeing Operations International Incorporated KuwaitBoeing is seeking to hire a **C‐17 Field Services Customer Engineer** to be based at **Al‐Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait**. This position will be part of the on‐site C‐17 Field Services Engineering and Technical Support (FETS) team supporting the Kuwait Air Force customer at Al Mubarak Airbase. The team works directly with the customer, providing real-time, time critical and dynamic assistance at the point of delivery. **Role Description:**In this role you will be responsible for:* Participating in resolving complex operational problems that require a high level of ingenuity, innovation, and coordination with the Kuwait customer and other Boeing entities.* Providing the Kuwait customer troubleshooting and repair guidance.* Providing assistance with the interpretation of technical documents to ensure the intent and purpose of the documentation is understood and followed.* Providing specialized on-the-job training by explaining the theory of operations and demonstrating basic operating, maintenance, servicing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.* Investigating and pursuing courses of action necessary to safely support Kuwait missions including assistance with spares supply and support equipment.* Documenting field site activities by preparing and transmitting publication change requests, continuous process improvement data, and technical reports to provide status of product or customer issues and developments. In addition, the preferred candidate will be required to provide similar support and advice for other C-17 customers in the region, and worldwide. Travel to other operating locations to assist with operation, maintenance, and recovery of any operators C-17 aircraft may be required. You will be dealing with the Boeing Globemaster III, C-17, a highly complex aircraft, and a proven background in supporting an aviation product in the field, and that you can demonstrate that you have the experience and ability to perform the functions listed beforehand will identify you as a suitable candidate. This role will require that a suitable applicant is enrolled onto a United States Air Force sanctioned C-17 Delegated Engineering Authority (DEA) program. This Program is conducted through on-the-job training and will include certain travel opportunities to other Boeing C-17 facilities, around the world, to achieve the required standard. The Programme will take approximately 2-4 years (depending on prior experience). **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):*** Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.* This position requires the ability to work independently under time constraints and stress, in a demanding, on-call, around the clock operational environment.* Experience on C-17 or similar widebody fleet aircraft. **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):*** Prior knowledge of Non-Destructive Inspection techniques, circuit knowledge, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and the interpretation of engineering drawings is desirable.* Ideally you will have a strong background in the Electrical/Avionic systems and/or mechanical/airframe repairs, system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft hydro-mechanical, and propulsion systems.* Prior experience in troubleshooting complex integrated systems, within an operational environment is desirable.* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills* Strong customer focus (both external and internal).* A collaborator and innovator.* Have a “can-do” attitude and the ability to work on multiple tasks when under pressure* Flexible approach to resolve competing demands without compromising technical or Programme integrity **Other job-related information:**This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Kuwait.
