Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Kuwait City seeks an experienced Banquet Captain to lead function setup, service, and post-event duties. You will coordinate with the Banquet Manager, meet hosts, and ensure flawless execution of events within a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining log books, organizing server assignments, and supervising cleanup and storage of linens and props. English and Arabic language skills are a plus, with a strong eye for detail and customer

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a similar role in a five-star luxury hotel (from duties).
• Strong attention to detail and service standards.
• Fluent or working knowledge of English; Arabic is a plus.

• Oversee setup of functions including checking the room layout and posting updated function sheets to the Banquet Kitchen.
• Oversee the service of the function assigned by the Banquet Manager to ensure success and adherence to rules.
• Meet hosts and be available to address their needs during events.
• Complete the Captain’s log book at the end of each shift/function.
• Oversee cleanup and proper storage of hotel linen and skirting after functions.
• Prepare and post daily room assignments for servers with specific setup and service times.
• Oversee cleanup and storage of all props and specialty china.

What You Will Do

• Oversee the set-up of functions including checking of the physical layout of the room, providing the servers with the proper set-up information, and posts updated function sheets in the Banquet Kitchen.
• Oversee the service of the function assigned by the Banquet Manager to insure the success of the function and staff adherence to all service rules.
• Meet individual hosts and makes him/herself accessible to the host for any need that may arise.
• Complete the Captain’s log book at the completion of the shift/function.
• Oversee the clean-up of all functions and insuring the proper removal and storage of hotel linen and skirting.
• Prepare and post daily room assignments for servers including specific times for set-up and service.
• Oversee proper clean up, handling and storage of all props and specialty china.

What You Will Bring

• At least 2 years’ experience in the similar role in a five-star luxury hotel.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Be thorough and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Arabic is a plus.
• Active listening skills.
