Job description

The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for translating the Senior Marketing Manager’s brand strategy into disciplined, insight-led, commercially measurable marketing execution across casual dining restaurants and corporate brand priorities. The role acts as the critical bridge between brand strategy, restaurant operations, revenue management, digital, delivery, CRM, creative agencies, and market-level teams to drive sales, transactions, guest engagement, brand love, and profitable growth.

This profile is designed for a high-performing marketing professional who can operate independently at market level while providing the structure, analysis, follow-through, and executional excellence required to support a Senior Marketing Manager and wider business leadership. The successful candidate will understand both restaurant-level sales drivers and corporate governance requirements, ensuring every initiative is brand-right, operationally executable, financially justified, and measurable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brand Strategy & Market Execution: Convert annual brand strategy into actionable quarterly and monthly marketing plans that support sales, traffic, menu mix, guest frequency, and brand affinity.
  • Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of campaigns across dine-in, delivery, CRM, social, digital media, PR, partnerships, local store marketing, and in-restaurant touchpoints.
  • Commercial Performance: Build campaigns around clear business cases, including forecasted sales impact, transaction drivers, product/category contribution, promotional mechanics, margin considerations, and ROI expectations.
  • Casual Dining Guest Experience: Ensure marketing strengthens the full guest journey, including awareness, reservation or walk-in intent, menu discovery, service moments, social advocacy, loyalty participation, and repeat visitation.
  • Menu, Product & Innovation Support: Partner with Culinary, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to support new menu launches, limited-time offers, seasonal campaigns, bundles, beverage platforms, and pricing initiatives.
  • Digital, CRM & Delivery Growth: Manage digital campaigns, content calendars, CRM activations, app or loyalty communication, delivery aggregator visibility, paid media support, and performance reporting.
  • Local Store Marketing: Identify restaurant-level opportunities to drive footfall, weekday recovery, lunch occasions, family occasions, celebration moments, tourist-indexed locations, trade-zone partnerships, and underperforming stores.
  • Agency & Creative Management: Brief, manage, challenge, and evaluate creative, media, digital, PR, and production partners to ensure output is on-brand, commercially sharp, timely, and cost-effective.
  • Insights & Competitive Intelligence: Track category trends, competitor activity, pricing, guest sentiment, market disruptions, and consumer behavior to recommend tactical and strategic adjustments.
  • Reporting & Governance: Prepare weekly and monthly marketing updates, campaign post-evaluations, budget tracking, KPI dashboards, competitor reviews, and leadership-ready performance summaries.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong working relationships with Operations, restaurant teams, corporate functions, and senior leadership to ensure alignment, urgency, accountability, and smooth execution.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience: 5–8 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within restaurants, hospitality, retail, food service, FMCG, or multi-site consumer brands.
  • Industry exposure: Strong understanding of casual dining, guest occasions, restaurant operations, menu engineering, delivery platforms, local store marketing, and campaign execution in competitive markets.
  • Commercial mindset: Ability to connect marketing activity to sales, transactions, margin, product mix, pricing, frequency, and ROI.
  • Project leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, stakeholders, agencies, budgets, and approvals without losing executional detail.
  • Digital capability: Working knowledge of paid media, social media, CRM, loyalty, influencer marketing, content planning, delivery marketing, web/app activations, and performance analytics.
  • Analytical strength: Comfortable interpreting sales reports, campaign dashboards, customer data, competitor intelligence, and post-campaign performance.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear briefs, leadership updates, restaurant communication, and executive summaries.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. MBA or professional marketing certification is an advantage.
  • Language: Fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage for GCC market execution and consumer communication.
