Job summary

Vrinda Global is seeking a Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in ASME Section VIII Division 1, capable of auditing, and governing pressure vessel inspection. You will review specifications, manage NDE activities, calibrate equipment, oversee welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WPQ), and collaborate with customers and inspectors to ensure compliance across projects.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on ASME-certified manufacturing experience, knowledge of quality management systems

Qualifications

• ASME Section VIII Division 1 experience required.
• Experience handling ASME audits and pressure vessel inspection.
• Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection/testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and applicable codes and quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain quality data reports and ASME documentation.
• Coordinate internal and vendor NDE inspections and testing.
• Maintain calibration programme for inspection equipment.
• Coordinate welding qualification tests and records (WPS/PQR/WPQ).
• Support ISO/ASME QMS implementation and continual improvement.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined welded equipment and pressure vessels.
• Liaise with customers, auditors, authorities and vendors on quality matters.
• Ensure traceability of materials, test reports and welding records.
