Job summary

Vrinda Global is seeking a Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in ASME Section VIII Division 1 to lead quality assurance in pressure vessel manufacturing. The role requires auditing experience, documentation control, and coordination of NDE and inspection activities across projects.

The candidate will manage QAPs/ITPs, ensure traceability of records, and liaise with customers, inspectors, and vendors to uphold regulatory compliance and quality standards on site in Kuwait.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
• Experience in handling ASME audits.
• Knowledge of pressure vessel inspection, ASME-coded vessel manufacturing, quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements, including special manufacturing and testing requirements.
• Prepare and maintain quality data reports, including ASME-related documentation and records.
• Compile, review, and organize all necessary quality documents for customer submission and final project documentation packages.
• Coordinate and monitor internal and vendor-based NDE, inspections, and testing activities.
• Establish and maintain the calibration programme for inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
• Maintain and control welding documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WPQ; coordinate welding qualification tests and ensure records are maintained.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of QMS, including ISO and ASME requirements.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined and fabricated welded equipment, assemblies, components, and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring project-specific QAPs and ITPs.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Production, Manufacturing, and other departments to meet quality requirements.
• Liaise with customers, third-party inspection agencies, auditors, ASME inspectors, government authorities, and vendors regarding quality and compliance.
• Conduct and coordinate ASME-related audits, ensure documentation availability, and follow up on observations and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper traceability of materials, inspection records, test reports, welding documentation, and related records throughout manufacturing.
