Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II – Powerplant and Back Shop Mechanic with experience on T700, 701C/D, T55-714 engines and UH60/CH-47/AH-64 aircraft systems. Responsibilities include maintenance, inspection, and repair of powerplant assemblies and APUs, engine removal and QCA tasks, and blade inspection/blending in hot and cold sections.

Qualified candidates should have high school diploma, 5 years of applicable maintenance experience, and A&P with 2 years on MDS UH60/CH47/AH64 or 3

Qualifications

• General knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionics troubleshooting and parts replacement.
• Ability to lead teams through complex tasks and guide less experienced technicians.
• Familiarity with technical publications and logistics information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies and subassemblies for T700, 701C/ D, T55-714 engines and APU.
• Inspect engine turbines and blades for cracks, wear and damage, including blade blending and replacement.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn components; remove and reinstall engines as required.
• Carry out hot section inspections and determine replacement of hot section components.
• Perform engine removal, reinstallation, and quick-change assembly tasks.

Job description

The Aircraft Mechanic II - Powerplant Engine Back Shop Mechanic T700 701C D T55-714 with experience in all three MDS UH60 CH47 amp AH64 performs and inspects aviation unit AVUM intermediate AVIM and depot maintenance on assigned aircraft systems Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies and subassemblies of the T700 701C D T55-714 and auxiliary power units Inspect engine turbine blades to detect cracks distortion corrosion burn-out security or breaks Perform blade blending and blade replacement in cold section of powerplants Replace or repair worn or damaged components such as generators alternators fuel controls fuel pumps oil pumps and engine mounted gearboxes and compressor bleed valves Ability to Perform hot section inspections and determine replacement of hot section components GG rotors stators fuel injectors igniters power turbine Disassemble and inspect parts for wear cracks security or other defects Perform engine removal replacement reinstallation and quick-change assembly QCA maintenance tasks

Minimum Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required
• Five 5 years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required
• With A amp P Two 2 years aviation maintenance experience and Two 2 years experience on MDS UH60 CH47 amp AH64 is required
• Without A amp P must have Three 3 years aviation maintenance experience Three 3 years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two 2 years on the assigned Mission Design Series UH-60 AH-64 CH-47 MDS to qualify All experience must be within the Five 5 most recent years
• Must be in possession of a Valid U S Passport for travel internationally Passport must contain a minimum of 6 Blank pages and 2 years remaining before expiration date
• Ability to obtain maintain a US Government Security Clearance NAC-I T1 Public Trust
• US Citizenship is Required to obtain a Security Clearance and for facility access to this site Able to clear CENTCOM MOD Physicals requirement for deployment Attend CRC Must be able to obtain Kuwait Visa

Physical Requirements Working Environment
