Job summary

The Elon University School of Law Library in Greensboro, North Carolina, seeks an Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian to support legal research instruction and reference services for the Elon Law community. The role involves co-teaching, FDLP coordination, and occasional travel between Elon campuses.

Applicants should have a JD and MLIS, with experience teaching law students, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Travel to Charlotte may be required.

Qualifications

Master's in Library Science and JD required.
1+ year of professional library experience preferred.
JD holders with library experience may be considered.
Flexibility in scheduling including evenings and weekends may be needed.

Responsibilities

Teaches in the Legal Research program using a co-teaching model.
Provides general reference and research assistance to Elon Law students and faculty.
Manages Federal Depository Library Program duties with Acquisitions & Electronic Resources Librarian.
Trains faculty research assistants and maintains LibGuides and instructional materials.
