Responsibilities

  • Records patient-dentist transactions in the medical/dental record using standard nomenclature.
  • Serves on medical/dental staff meetings and participates in the quality assurance program.
  • Assists in continuing education, on-the-job training and orientation of center staff.
  • Assists in health education to the community as requested.
  • Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, clinical work is evaluated through QA programs.
  • The position covers broad functions of dental medicine, education, prevention, cure and rehabilitation with assignments varying in breadth and intensity.
  • Work involves moderate risks including exposure to contagious diseases, adverse weather, and dental materials.
  • Educates, influences and motivates patients to understand and accept medical/dental therapies.
  • Participates in departmental or organizational quality and continuous performance improvement.
