Job summary

The Retirement Compliance Auditor role, based in the Division of Retirement within the Florida Department of Management Services in Tallahassee, conducts audits of payroll and personnel records for participating agencies in the Florida Retirement System to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and rules.

The position develops audit scopes, analyzes evidence, prepares documentation and reports, travels statewide for on-site audits, and follows up on inspector general findings;

Qualifications

Six years of professional experience in auditing, fiscal work, or statistics.
Minimum 1 year experience in a retirement program at the Florida Division of Retirement or 1 year auditing in an Office of Inspector General.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Government Auditing Standards, and Internal Auditor Professional Practices Framework.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and make clear presentations.
Ability to analyze problems using sound reasoning and interpret laws, rules, and regulations.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Report to the Retirement Compliance Audit Supervisor.
