Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Must hold RN license in state of practice with CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking with an interdisciplinary team.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and state law.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation per standards of care.
• Develops and executes a patient care plan and educates patients/families.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Supervises nursing support staff; provides training and evaluates performance.
• Handles telephone triage and responds to patient communications as needed.
