The position includes fundraising, public relations, and educational outreach to foster community support, while developing facilities and exhibits and managing budgets and contracts.

Competenze

• Graduate degree in zoology, wildlife biology, animal science, or zoo management; four-year college degree.
• Four years’ zoo operations experience, two in a supervisory role.

Mansioni

• Supervise zoo and nature center staff and volunteers.
• Ensure facilities meet industry standards and comply with animal care, health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Develop fundraising, promotions, marketing, public relations, and community outreach activities; speak publicly to promote support.
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures; gather data, prepare reports and correspondence.
