Research and development in 3D image reconstruction and 3D image processing for anomaly detection in tomographic scans of plastic, steel and metal alloy components and in physics-informed machine learning for predicting the impact of anomalies on the functioning of the component under examination; development of innovative visualization and inspection techniques of CT scans; support in the dataset creation and benchmarking of industrial CT scans and implementation of the XCT challenge series.
Additional research activities in the context of other research projects on similar topics may be defined in due course with the mutual agreement between post-doc assignment holder and supervisor. If the supervision of this activity taking place within another project is done in detail by a different professor/researcher, the main supervisor has to explicitly countersign the part of the report regarding the activity on additional research projects.
