Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Voice Recording Specialist to help train AI speech systems from a remote location. This hourly contract role offers 10–40 hours per week with freelance autonomy and flexible scheduling.

You will read scripts, respond to prompts, and produce clear voice samples. No formal voice acting is required, and attendance is independent and self-paced.

Qualifications

• Clear, natural speaking voice with no formal training required.
• Access to a quiet environment suitable for recording.
• Access to a microphone or a smartphone with decent audio quality.
• Comfortable reading aloud and being recorded.
• Reliable and consistent for task-based work conducted independently.

What You'll Do

• Record clear, natural voice samples by reading provided scripts and responding to conversational prompts
• Vary your tone, pacing, and delivery style as directed to capture a range of speech patterns
• Ensure recordings are clean, clear, and free from background noise and interference
• Complete metadata forms that describe and categorize each recording session
• Participate in both scripted reading sessions and open-ended conversational recordings
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Clear, natural speaking voice — no professional training required
• Access to a quiet environment suitable for recording
• Access to a microphone or a smartphone with decent audio quality
• Comfortable reading aloud and being recorded
• Reliable and consistent when completing task-based work independently
• No voice acting, audio production, or AI experience required
