Leonardo SpA in Pomigliano d'Arco is seeking an Aeronautical Structure Designer to develop composite and metallic primary structures using CAD models and 2D drawings.

You will analyze interfaces, contribute to the Aircraft Digital Mock-Up, work with Fibersim, CATIA V5, and collaborate with stress, aerodynamics, and manufacturing teams; a bachelor in engineering is required.

Competenze

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering (drawings, processes).
• Preferred experience in CAD modelling for Aerospace.
• Knowledge of Office packages.
• Good level of written and spoken English (B2).

Mansioni

• Composite and metallic Primary Structure Designer using CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Contribute to Aircraft Digital Mock-Up via space allocation models.

We are looking for an Aeronautical Structure Designer for Pomigliano Plant.

Responsibilities

Composite and metallic Primary Structure Designer by means of CAD models and 2D drawings development.

Main Activities

• Analysis of requirements defined Interface Control Documents
• Space allocation model of primary structure parts contributing to definition of the Aircraft Digital Mock-Up
• Stressed Layouts for sizing of primary structure
• Analysis of installability of the designed installations
• Use of composite design specific software, preferred Fibersim
• Release of drawings of composite and metallic detail such as skins, stringers, panels, frames, ribs, fittings, etc.
• Release of drawings of assemblies and installations

Main Outputs

• Catia v5 3D Models
• Catia v5 2D drawings or Model Based Design
• Part List defining materials, standard parts, processes, finishing, installation notes

Main Interfaces

• System Installation Designers for interfaces with secondary structure
• Stress Analysts for sizing of structural components
• Aerodynamics verifications on external components
• Manufacturing Engineering for concurrence during development phase
• Partner Designers for interface definition between Aircraft sections/barrels

Requirements

• Bachelor in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering (drawings, processes)
• Preferred experience in CAD modelling for Aerospace
• Knowledge of Office packages
• Good Level of written and spoken English, B2
