Univar Solutions is a leading global chemical distributor, and we’re looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our team in Cusago, Italy. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our plant. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll oversee transportation coordination, supervise on-site activities and employees, and help keep our operations running seamlessly across Italy.

What you'll do:
  • Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities with our transportation suppliers.
  • Supervise intake and outtake (pick/pack) flows with our 3PL warehouses.
  • Handle complaint management and issue resolution with logistics service providers.
  • Request, advise, and coordinate (spot) quotes for transportation needs.
  • Complete and manage bookings with logistics service providers for inbound, outbound, and intake/outtake flows through our SAP and TMS (Transport Management System) platforms.
  • Proactively coordinate day-to-day logistics activities, both internally and externally.
  • Act as the main point of contact for third-party service providers on behalf of Univar Solutions.
  • Ensure accurate use of existing service agreements with Univar Solutions’ logistics partners.
  • Lead the development, and engagement of your team.
What You’ll Need:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in logistics operations and transportation/fleet management, ideally within the chemical industry (transport and warehouse operations).
  • Solid understanding of SAP and TMS (Transport Management Systems).
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to communicate, support, and empower others to achieve operational objectives.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven track record to manage complaints per KPI targets and via SAP complaints management.
  • Proficient knowledge of company procedures and compliance standards concerning quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Detailed and careful in data input and processing, paying close attention to details.
  • Proactive and able to take ownership, driving continuous improvement.
  • Resilient under pressure and capable of creating structure with limited guidance.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and an effective teammate.
  • Committed to driving quality and cost efficiency, always seeking for the best and most effective solutions.

This is an on-site opportunity. Preference for candidates in the Cusago area - Location is not reachable by public transportation.
