ABSA is seeking a Trade Finance professional to support the execution of trade finance operations, including transaction processing, signature verification, and data entry. The role requires at least 2 years in trade finance with strong product knowledge and documentation handling.

The candidate will interact with multiple departments to ensure compliance with sanction policies and timely processing, while maintaining accurate records and producing regular reports.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant banking experience in Trade Finance.
• Degree holder in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field, with the ability to support and execute trade finance operations efficiently.

Mansioni

• Input for sanctions screening of trade transactions.
• Signature verification prior to processing activities for Middle Office.
• Promptly action any requests from the trade portal.
• Record bank transactions in systems.
• Engage with different departments for pre-authorization transaction before processing in Middle Office.
• Validate documents to comply with current sanction policy.
• Schedule currencies and send position sheet to Treasury for processing.
• Elevate due payments to Treasury operations.
• Provide an efficient service by attending queries.
• Raise entries manually at Middle Office level.
• Effect settlement of loan on due date.
• Monitor complaints and raise to higher management as needed.
• Compile AML questionnaires according to standards.
• Effective data management to meet the standards of practice.
• Adhere to SLA and ABSA banking practice and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Provide required documents to customers.
• Prepare and send advice (Copy of documentary credit/ amendment).
• Run regular reports for tracking and monitoring.
• Scan and upload documents on bank's system.
