Vertiv Group sta cercando un Ingegnere Termodinamico da inserire nel team di gestione termica a Piove di Sacco (PD). Il ruolo prevede lo sviluppo di soluzioni HVAC/chiller per data center, collaborando con il reparto R&D e con clienti internazionali.

Si richiede laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica/energetica, esperienza in HVAC, conoscenze di termodinamica e refrigerazione, inglese intermedio e capacità di leadership. Disponibilità a viaggiare e viaggiare tra sedi è prevista.

• Laurea in ingegneria Meccanica/energetica.
• Esperienza in progetti HVAC/chiller preferita.
• Conoscenze solide di termodinamica e refrigerazione.
• Inglese intermedio (scritto e parlato).

Mansioni

• Gestire lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti R&D nel settore raffreddamento per data center e clienti globali.
• Fornire risposte rapide ai progetti NPDI basati su piattaforme esistenti.
• Lavorare in team multidisciplinari su prodotti globali ad alte prestazioni e costi contenuti.
• Guidare la progettazione di nuovi prodotti o la reingegnerizzazione di quelli esistenti, collaborando con Marketing, Procurement e Industrial Engineering.
• Approvare e rivedere documentazione di prodotto (CAD, specifiche, BOM).
• Raggiungere obiettivi di costo, qualità, ambiente e tempi di esecuzione.
• Analizzare e risolvere problemi tecnici relativi ai prodotti.

We are currently seeking a Thermodynamic Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD)!

Vertiv is looking for a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the R&D Department, based in Piove di Sacco (PD) - Italy. He/She will be mainly focused on the Chiller and Chilled Water products.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• To manage the development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers.
• Deliver a fast and customer focused response on NPDI projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.
• To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with, Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer’s needs.
• To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
• To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
• To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
• Availability to travel on request between the Italian HQ (base) and other divisions (mainly North America and China).
• A good level of experience in the HVAC sector with particularly good knowledge of Thermodynamics and refrigeration.

What will make you successful?

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering is required;
• Previous working experience on similar projects, ideally in the HVAC/chiller sector is preferred;
• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are essential;
• English – Intermediate level – written and spoken;
• A high level of motivation combined with leadership abilities is required;
• Knowledge of technical norms and standards;
• Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy is between 33.000€ to 41.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

The applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for this role is Metalmeccanico Industria.
