Nokia is seeking a Test Engineer Trainee in Lombardy to join the X-Haul team, responsible for ensuring EMC compatibility of microwave radio devices. You will interact with cross-border labs, learn EMC validation, and work in a multicultural engineering environment.

You will assemble equipment, troubleshoot EMC issues, and review requirements to meet customer specs and standards while traveling if needed. Nokia offers a dynamic, learning-focused atmosphere.

Competenze

• Familiarity with electronic instrumentation and test equipment.
• Aptitude in workshop tools and hand tools.
• Good knowledge of power electronics, digital electronics, and RF/microwave principles.
• Good knowledge of telecommunications, OS Windows and Microsoft Office.

Mansioni

• Assemble and configure the telecommunications equipment to be tested in the measurement environment.
• Work closely with product designers and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve EMC test failures.
• Review technical requirements to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute EMC testing activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide on-site support during outsourced EMC validation activities, including international travel when required.
• Review and contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, validation reports, and compliance records.
• Collaborate effectively within a global, multicultural engineering environment, working with cross-functional teams across different regions and disciplines.
• Acquire advanced skills in electromagnetic compatibility engineering, compliance testing, and international standards applicable to telecommunications equipment.

As Test Engineer Trainee you will interact with other teams/labs inside and outside X-Haul, in a multicultural and worldwide context.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• Familiarity in the use of electronic instrumentation and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory instruments
• Aptitude in the use of workshop equipment and hand tools
• Good knowledge of power electronics, digital electronics, and RF/microwave engineering principles
• Good knowledge of telecommunications principles and of OS Windows and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong teamwork skills, combined with a proactive and collaborative attitude. Eager to learn and expand own knowledge
• Good spoken and written English

It would be nice if you also had:

• Ability to design, analyze, and interpret analog and digital electronic circuits and technical drawings
• Basic programming knowledge
