Job summary

VTS - Vessel Technical Services S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its mechanical workshop, focusing on maintenance and overhaul of industrial and marine components.

The role involves hands-on maintenance of rotating equipment and overhauls of engines, turbines, pumps, and valves. The ideal candidate holds a technical diploma in mechanical engineering or engine technology and has experience with fuel injection systems.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma (Technical, Industrial, or Nautical Institute) or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Engine Technology.
• Experience in the overhaul and repair of fuel injection systems.
• Experience in maintenance activities on rotating equipment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Mechanical maintenance of rotating equipment
• Overhaul and repair of industrial and marine engines
• Overhaul of turbines, pumps, and process valves
• Overhaul and maintenance of fuel injection systems

Requirements

• Technical diploma (Technical, Industrial, or Nautical Institute) or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Engine Technology
• Experience in the overhaul and repair of fuel injection systems
• Experience in maintenance activities on rotating equipment
• Good knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments

Preferred qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following environments:
• Engine overhaul workshops (industrial or marine sector)
• Structured industrial environments
• Power plants
• Marine vessels (onshore and offshore operations)

We offer an initial fixed-term employment contract (3–6 months) for assessment and training purposes, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
