Job Title

Technical Training Specialist at GE Vernova

Job Description

Provides expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for a business or function, then designs and delivers training solutions. Impacts quality of training schedules, orders, and tracking of all courses organized in the Site, and runs the system for qualification traceability (Skill Matrix). Performs needs assessments, designs and facilitates employee training materials and programs across a variety of topics to meet organizational needs. Oversees training processes, monitors methods, gives feedback on areas for improvement, and works with other functions to identify training requirements and institute plans for new and existing employees. Supports the team by ensuring all employees work efficiently and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CVP (Competency Verification Process) for new employees and contractors
  • Develop and lead effective induction programs
  • Coordinate appropriate training activities for new recruits and current employees
  • Participate in qualification appraisals
  • Administrate Skill Matrix
  • Design and deliver system learning and development solutions in conjunction with subject matter experts
  • Communicate with employees about technical issues
  • Lead in‑person or online training sessions
  • Develop training manuals that target tangible results
  • Ensure training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective
  • Maintain training records (trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets)
  • Administer training nominations, registration, and logistics
  • Gather feedback on sessions to improve future content and presentation
  • Coordinate with trainers, facilitators, partners, and beneficiaries

  • Contribute to selecting appropriate training methods and materials
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, and order supplies for training events
  • Monitor and review trainee progress through questionnaires and manager discussions
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present research
  • Create materials for training sessions
  • Oversee maintenance of curriculum and materials records
  • Assist in development and implementation of plans
  • Oversee employee attendance and performance
  • Maintain knowledge of new training methods and techniques applicable to the organization
  • Review existing third‑party training materials for appropriateness and relevance
  • Communicate training programs on a timely basis
  • Perform necessary administrative functions to deliver and document training programs
  • Assess training materials prepared by instructors
  • Organize training sessions specific to various roles in the company
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Gas turbine assembly
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field with experience in technical training OR Associate’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field with experience in technical training

  • Knowledge of GE products and quality tools (nice to have)
