This role requires knowledge of Lean tools and an ability to work directly on the factory floor to drive improvements. Candidates must either reside in Taranto or be willing to relocate.

Technical Operational Support Expert- Taranto

We are looking for an Operational Support Expert to join our Blades Process Engineering team at Vestas factory in Taranto. These roles will support two key manufacturing areas: Handling & Logistics and Finish & Paint.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve processes in either Handling & Logistics or Finish & Paint areas.
• Analyze current operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain plans for implementing improvements.
• Support the implementation of changes through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Participate in or lead small improvement projects.
• Act as a point of contact for urgent production issues, helping to solve them quickly and effectively.
• Use structured problem‑solving tools, including 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams and spend time on the factory floor to understand and resolve real issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production support, or process improvement.
• Basic knowledge of Lean tools and structured problem‑solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Experience in continuous improvement activities.
• English language skills for daily communication in an international team.
