Chiesi Global Manufacturing Division

Chiesi Group has three production plants:

  • Parma (Italy), the strategic hub for the production and distribution of our products, serving as an international supply center with exports to over 80 countries. Here, solid medicines such as tablets and dry powders for inhalers, solutions and suspensions for inhalations and sterile suspension vials for endotracheal administration are produced.
  • In 2024, a new Biotech Centre of Excellence has launched in Parma. The new facility is dedicated to developing and producing monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, and other proteins.
  • Blois-La Chaussée Saint Victor plant (France), a center of excellence specializing in the production of Dry Powder Inhalers and Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs). The site manages direct distribution to customers in the French market and exports to other markets, effectively meeting both local and international needs.
  • Santana de Parnaiba (Brazil), specialized in the production of pressurized solutions and suspensions for inhalation therapy (pMDIs). Additionally, it has an area dedicated to nasal sprays for the European market. Santana produces pressurised solutions and suspensions for inhalation therapy (MDI).
  • In 2025, a new investment in Nerviano (Italy) has been announced with the construction of a new facility which will be primarily dedicated to manufacturing carbon minimal inhalers (reinforcing the company's commitment to both patients' health and sustainable healthcare solutions), dry powder inhalers and sterile biological products.
Purpose

We're looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands‑on Project Manager to join our Project & Portfolio Management Unit, part of the Global Product Industrialization Department within the Global Manufacturing Division. If you're passionate about driving innovation, leading cross‑functional, international teams, and delivering impactful results in a global context, this role is for you. You will lead and coordinate Products Technology Transfers, New Product Introductions and Lifecycle Management Projects for the Global Manufacturing Division.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the management preparing and presenting business cases for project approvals.
  • Define project scope, deliverables and communication plan according to internal/external stakeholder requirements.
  • Kick off and lead cross‑functional project teams, define project plans, budgets (cost and effort) and risk register.
  • Ensure flawless project execution aligned with product strategy. Monitor and control the project, track milestones and coordinate team activities.
  • Manage change requests efficiently and properly manage project risk assessment and mitigation plan. Track and report project costs and efforts.
  • Integrate environmental sustainability topics in the project input collection.
  • Collaborate across global company functions (R&D, Commercial Functions, Alliance Management), ensuring alignment with corporate processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes and share project lessons learned.
  • Foster an inclusive, open and collaborative approach for cross‑functional global activities.
Experience Required

At least 5-8 years' experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical Industry in one of the following areas: Industrialization & Tech Transfer, Manufacturing Strategy & Operations, R&D late stage development, Technical Project Management.

Education

Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent.

Languages

Fluent English (spoken and written) - you'll work in a global environment.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of project management tools.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and coordination abilities in cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to recognize multiple stakeholders needs and integrate them in the plan.
  • Open to dialogue, promoting feedback culture and solution oriented.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic context, highly matrixed environment.
  • Comfortable managing change and uncertainty.
