In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Architect – SAP ATTP, you will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end serialization and traceability solutions based on SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals (ATTP). You will collaborate with clients in the life sciences industry to ensure full compliance with global serialization regulations and seamless integration within their digital supply chain.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the design and implementation ofSAP ATTPsolutions covering serialization, aggregation, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Define system architectures and integration strategies withSAP ERP, SAP ICH, SAP EM, and external serialization/packaging systems.
• Provide technical and functional leadership during all project phases — blueprint, build, testing, go-live, and hypercare.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-performing system architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory) to align solution design with end-to-end business processes.
• Lead or support pre-sales activities, including solution presentations, architecture reviews, and proposal preparation.
• Mentor junior consultants and ensure alignment with IBM’s quality and delivery standards.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Proven experience inSAP ATTP design and implementation, including system integration with packaging lines and regulatory hubs.
• Strong knowledge ofserialization, aggregation, and regulatory reportingprocesses in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of integration scenarios betweenSAP ATTP, SAP ICH, SAP EM, SAP S/4HANA, and third-party serialization systems.
• Ability to lead solution design workshops and translate business needs into technical deliverables.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience withSAP S/4HANA-based serialization architecturesandSAP Cloud Integration (CPI).
• Familiarity withglobal regulatory requirements(e.g., EU FMD, US DSCSA, ANVISA, CFDA).
• Background inlife sciences manufacturing or logistics.
• SAP certification inATTP or Supply Chain Execution.
• Experience inleading multi-country or multi-site ATTP deployments.
