About the Role
We are looking for a System Integrator IT | Italian Speaker to join Amaris Consulting, an independent technology consulting firm with more than 7,600 professionals across 5 continents and 60 countries. The position is based in Roma and focuses on complex IT systems, security, automation and integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage virtualized environments using VirtualBox, VMware and Proxmox to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Implement hardening for Linux (Red Hat) and Windows systems in line with security standards such as Common Criteria.
- Configure and maintain critical network protocols (SSH, NTP, ICMP, IGMP, UDP, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS) with a focus on both unicast and multicast communications.
- Handle secure communications via TLS/SSL, managing private/public keys and CSRs with OpenSSL.
- Capture and analyze network traffic using tcpdump and Wireshark for troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Automate configuration and deployment tasks with Ansible to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage Active Directory and support integration of heterogeneous systems in complex IT environments.
- Collaborate with development teams on technologies such as Fast DDS and RabbitMQ for real‑time system integration.
- Write and maintain shell scripts for repetitive tasks and system operations.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT system administrator or system integrator in structured technical contexts.
- Proficient with Windows and Linux, especially Red Hat.
- Experience with VMware and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with virtualization tools: VirtualBox, VMware, Proxmox.
- Basic IT security skills, including hardening, key management, and encrypted communication (TLS/SSL).
- Ability to analyze network traffic with tcpdump and Wireshark.
- Knowledge of network protocols and communication models (unicast, multicast).
- Experience with Ansible for IT automation.
- Shell scripting skills (Bash or similar).
- Immediate availability and willingness to work in a hybrid model.
- No travel required.
- Technical education in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Excellent autonomous working ability, attention to detail and adherence to security policies.
