We are looking for a System Engineer to join our systems engineering team in La Spezia.

Overview

The role involves contributing to analysis, design, and requirements management in complex aerospace and defense projects using a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approach. Key standards include MIL‑STD‑498 for requirements definition and IBM tools such as Rational Rhapsody, DOORS, RTC, and RPE.

Responsibilities

• Defining, analyzing, and managing system requirements according to the MIL‑STD‑498 standard.
• Modeling and designing complex systems using an MBSE approach.
• Using main MBSE tools for requirements definition, traceability, and verification: IBM Rational Rhapsody, IBM DOORS, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), IBM RPE.
• Supporting system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in system engineering and project management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or similar (essential requirement).
• Native Italian speaker with a good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
• Experience in applying Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
• Good knowledge of MBSE tools: IBM Rational Rhapsody, DOORS, RTC, RPE (at least 1 year of experience, mandatory).
• Knowledge of the MIL‑STD‑498 standard.
• Analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and aptitude for working in multidisciplinary teams.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in the defense sector.
