Purpose of the job
  • Together with the other member of the team, to analyze requirements and design the solution by re‑using or adapting existing solutions following program targets and contract context.
  • To formalize and maintain system requirements, their associated integration, verification and validation through tests to be specified and made according to D&IS Service Data Acquisition and Analytics Programs roadmap.
Experience
  • Electrical Engineering, Tests in lab: one to five‑year experience
Network and links
  • Data Acquisition and Data Analytics Program Manager
  • System Application Architect for Track product data acquisition
  • D&IS Service Tender/Project Engineering teams in Service Centers
  • D&IS Trackside Team and ITA DC Hardware Engineering Team
Location
  • Shall be located in Florence (ITA) in the HealthHub Signalling LAB for point machines
Mission and deliverables
  • Applies process, methods and tools as referenced by the D&IS Service Data Acquisition program roadmap
  • For the system design she/he:
    • Analyzes, clarifies and confirms input requirements and needs
    • Participates to the material selection and procurement activities as required
    • Performs design by preparing electrical schemes, design studies, mock‑ups, for technical de‑risking and optimization
    • Partners with DMS Teams, Trackside Team, HW Engineering, Safety and Data Analytics Teams to develop design
    • Contribute to draft test specifications, to perform test and validate solutions as per specifications
    • Conducts / participates to technical reviews (design reviews, document reviews) including consultation to end‑users
  • For the support to SAA and Tenders/Projects she/he:
    • helps to analyze requirements, gap analysis, and suggest specific solutions
    • prepares documents (e.g. training material, user manuals, etc.) he is in charge
    • Contributes to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, etc.)
    • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
